Air Show

Last weekend Russ, Ava and I headed up to the air show at Hill AFB. At first we weren't going to go because the forecast said rainy and only 60 degrees as a high. But then at the last minute we decided to go anyways and I'm so glad we did. We've been before a couple years ago. But it just seemed better this time. There were more planes on display and the airshow was more intense.

Ava was overall really good. Especially considering we were there for 5 hours. The air show was loud but not too bad. But there was a couple types of planes the F-16 and F-18 that were so loud that every time they flew overhead Ava would cry. We would put our hands over her ears to try and drown out some of the noise and she hated that.
So we bought Ava some earplugs at a booth there. But it was a one size fits all, all but baby. We tried putting them in and then pulling her beanie over it to keep them in. But she absolutely HATED it. This pic was taken right after we put them in so she hasn't had time to cry yet. But she wouldn't let us keep them in. And they kept falling out anyway so we had to just cover her ears when it was loud.

At the end of the day. The Thunderbirds performed the main event of the airshow. By now the sky was really clouding up looking like it was going to pour. And it DID. Luckily by this time she was so worn out from the eventful afternoon that she fell asleep and we could enjoy the rest of the airshow with her sound asleep in her stroller bundled up nice and warm. I was surprised she slept through all that noise.
